Saluhall, San Francisco

Agency: Stiff + Trevillion

Partnering with KERB, the pioneers behind Seven Dials Market.

Saluhall is IKEA + Ingka Centre's first venture into street food.

Saluhall was born, out of a love of simple yet functional design. Echoing design cues from designers such as Alvar Aalto. A blend of soft natural textures and hard industrial structures created the ultimate dining experience.

The food hall covers two floors with five independent traders plus an. in-house cookery school.

Inside the existing building three oval atriums drop down through the space, connecting the two floors. The colours we selected in the space are food based, bright, vibrant and optimistic.

Visuals

The Project involved full design intent, visualisation and animation. This was my first time using a Vectorworks Plug-in that allowed the generation of fast and impactful renders.

Drawings

I worked alongside colleagues at Stiff + Trevillion to create full design intent and detailed drawing packs, liaising with onsite contractors and architects to ensure the project was delivered to meet our design criteria.

Artworking

We took the branding designed by 'The Great Exhibition' agency
and translated it into a physical form through neon lighting and manifestations on the glazing
